In Maya idioms that means ’ÄúTurtles Land’Äù but for the divers it means barracudas, nure sharks, various reef fishes and a many many turtles.
The wonderfull reef, that protects the bay is the most soitable for amazing dive between big canyons full of spongest and corals. The crystal and calm water of the Akumal bay permit to the beginners to start to dive in a very safe way.
In Akumal bay is possible to snorkel with turtles, barracudas and eagles ray.
